10 Conversations - Babs Klyn

Photographs by Babs Klyn
'The impetus for this collection of work was Peter Black's interest in images 'washing line' and 'dog in mirror'. As a result of our conversation, I focused on creating images that are ambiguous in the sense that the viewer feels they can't trust their initial reading of the image, and is compelled to look again.'
'Peter gave me the confidence to focus on creating images that are not
planned or constructed. His advice and reassurance about giving myself the freedom to take the shot when it 'feels right' (as opposed to when it 'looks right'), coupled with a certain amount of serendipity, helped me to capture the images in this show.'
