This is an intermediate level course, run as a six-week course with follow-up or as component of the Photocourse 2 programme . A working knowledge of basic photographic skills and techniques is required.
The course will be tutored by John Williams and James Gilberd.
The objective of this course is to build a portfolio of landscape-related photographs.
The emphasis is on personal and individual Image quality and presentation is the technical focus of this component of PC2.
Note: the term Landscape will be interpreted fairly widely for the purposes of this course; there is no particular focus on the natural landscape.
The urban lanscape, street photography, the mirco-landscape, the domestic and everything down to still-life will be addressed.
You will need either a digital SLR or film SLR camera to do the course assignments. Some 35mm film SLRs are available to
hire for the duration of the course.

- Week 1: Introduction, the scope of landscape photography; personal interpretations.
Intro Assignment 1: Explorations.
- Saturday workshop: The Urban Landscape.
- Week 2: Intro Assignment 2: Research & Inspiration
- Week 3: Presentation Assignment 1. Intro Assignment 3: Project Proposal
- Week 4: Interim review Assn 2, Ideas for Assn 3.
- Week 5: Photographic qualities.
- Week 6: Presentation of images from assignments 2 & 3.
