Felix Harris - artist information:

Felix Harris was born in Dunedin in 1978, the son of artists Jeffrey Harris and Joanna Paul. From an early age he loved to draw creatures from his imagination; it helped him to escape reality in what was a traumatic childhood. After graduating from The Elam School of Fine Arts in 2006, Felix moved to America in 2007 and worked at the Seattle Art Museum. He returned to New Zealand in 2009.

After his first show (with Pat Cush) at Gilberd Marriott Gallery, (April 2010) Felix traveled to Europe for the first time and was strongly influenced by both Spanish and Italian artists he saw there.
