Grasslands is a country band playing country we like, the way we like to play it. What’s that mean?
Well, it could mean that we play Uncle Tupelo’s New Madrid next to Truck Driving Man, or Townes van Zandt’s
Katie Belle next to Gamblin’ Man. It means that we play the Rolling Stones with mandolin and resonator guitar.
It means we steal Clarence White licks and cop Byrds harmonies for the originals.
