Julian Ward is a bit of a drifter with a camera.

He says that as he gets older the pictures come to him rather than hunting for them, as he used to do. Julian is at home wandering the Wellington streets or roaming the countryside. He finds his images, lives with them and then chooses his favourites to show.

Julian has three books published - Face Value (1993), Just a Word.. (1996), and Wellingtonia (2006). He has exhibited at Photospace gallery since 2001.

Below are a few examples of his photographs. Some earlier works are still available as vintage silver-gelatin prints, and these more recent photographs can be purchased as high quality pigment prints on archival rag paper.
