WHAT TO DO:

• If you're making a special trip in, please ring (04)382 9502 or email for an appointment.

• Or just drop in during opening hours (10am-4pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 11am-4pm Saturday) Sometimes the photographer is busy with other work, and usually there's no photographer on Wednesdays

• We are famliar with the photo requirements for most countries, but it may help if you can provide the specifications for the photo you require (see below)

• Hair: if you have rather a lot of it, sometimes it's hard to fit within the strict photo measurements! :-) Perhaps bring a hair clip or prepare to tie it back. If you have a fringe, make sure it can be kept clear of your eyebrows

• Glasses are usually no problem, but if it looks like they could be, we'll give you photos with and without them

• Babies are usually no problem, but it can help to pick a time of day when your baby is usually both awake and reasonably settled. (We appreciate they are not really that predictable :-)

• Because today's biometric photo regulations stipulate a 'neutral expression', a passport photo is not like a portrait, but we try and take the best looking photo we can within what is allowed. If you need a photo for a job application or suchlike, try our Quick Portrait or CV portrait services

• US passport, visa, greencard lottery photo - 2 inches square (50x50mm) up to 6 photos for $25.00, digital file available

• Digital image file for US Visa & greencard lottery applications, supplied to specification by email, or bring a USB stick - $25.00

• Canadian passport, 50x70mm - $25.00 for two larger photos as required. Also Canadian immigration visa photos

• Chinese & Hong Kong passport & visa photos

• Malaysian passport, 35mm x 50mm, blue background - not a problem.

• Indonesian passport photos - red background

• Irish passport photos - black and white is optional
• Other countries - please bring the specifications of the photos you need

• Photos for international driver's licenses, medical certification, work visas, firearms licenses, dive permits
