  • You have a photograph, video or sound recording of something you can't explain or are unsure about, possibly associated with the above.

(and the disclaimer) then contact us as soon as possible.

Contact:

Email is best for initial enquiries: j.d.gilberd@gmail.com

This goes to James Gilberd, Strange Occurrences co-founder and team leader. The Gmail inbox is checked at least twice daily, so you should hear back within 24 hours. A contact phone number can be provided after initial email discussion.

We will treat your enquiry with respect, sensitivity, care and discretion. We are not here to judge or to ridicule. We're easy to approach and we'll listen to what you have to say. If we can possibly help you out, we will do so.

Even if you do not require an on-site investigation, we are sometimes able to offer (hopefully) useful advice by email. Please do not hesitate or feel nervous about getting in touch. We are here to help.

What We Do:

We approach paranormal investigations with a commonsense, open-minded attitude and a level-headed, scientific method. We first look for natural reasons for any reportedly supernatural or paranormal phenomenon.

Many experiences of paranormal activity are caused by normal physical effects in the environment. We will try to identify these before looking at possible paranormal causes, which are always much more complex.

But, as Albert Einstein said:
"It is possible that there exist emanations that are still unknown to us. Do you remember how electrical currents and unseen waves were laughed at? The knowledge about man is still in its infancy."

Brutus and the spectre We are open minded and good listeners, we are neither "True Believers" nor hardcore debunkers. We are like you - seeking explanations for the unknown events that can and do touch and affect many people's lives. We do not hold a fixed position on any paranormal phenomena.

Nothing is certain or absolute in this field of investigation and research, nobody has all the answers, and we are still on the lower rungs of the ladder of understanding what might be going on. More...

Victorian spirit photograph What we do not do:

We are not 'ghostbusters' and we don't go 'ghost hunting'. Also, we're are not in the business of removing ghosts, emanicipating spirits, etc, (we prefer to study them!) but we can put you in contact with people who may be able to cleanse properties of spirits, or at least put your mind at ease.

Please read the disclaimer here.

Reputedly haunted houses, buildings and other locations are meat and drink to Strange Occurrences, but we are also intrigued by telepathy, telekinesis, ESP, clairvoyance, clairaudience, premonitions, remote seeing (collectively termed Psi), also Fortean phenomena, cryptozoology, UFO sightings, RSPK, poltergeists, extraordinary coincidences, out of body experiences (OBEs), near death experiences (NDEs), automatic writing and a range of other unexplained phenomena.

With two trained, experienced professional photographers in our team, we are very interested in photographs with possible paranormal content, pics of ghosts or other unexplained phenomena. We welcome email submissions of your paranormal photographs, and we will endeavor to give you a possible explanation. Your photo page
