We all have lifelong interest in the paranormal. None of us claims to be psychic or has the skills of a medium, but - like many people - we have each had our own experiences of things that are difficult to attribute to normal or natural causes. We all strive to gain knowledge and understanding in this fascinating field of research.

With various arts and science degrees in the group (including a Ph.D.) we understand and respect scientific method and take the position that nothing in nature is absolutely proven; we can only work with the best available theory or hypothesis and hope, perhaps, to develop a better one.

We try not to be led by personal belief when investigating the paranormal. We feel it is better to be neutral, regard all evidence objectively, and to be open minded to possible explanations of phenomena that lie beyond the current understanding of nature.

The CPI course is well thought-out and constructed, and covers most aspects of paranormal investigation in a comprehensive and holistic way. We believe it is a highly worthwhile programme and we thoroughly recommend it.

History:

Strange Occurrences team photo Nov.2006
The original incarnation of Strange Occurrences: "Campbell, Collington, Stark & Gray - Paranormal Investigators", established 2005. (L-R): Denise Stark, Karen Gray, Mark Collington, J.Duncan Campbell.

Our first internet profile page went up late 2005 and just sat there. This is the oldest version of it that has been archived: September 2006 and then the update in April 2007 (The missing team photo is the one that appears above.)

Once we began to get enquiries for our services we "came out from behind our mysterious web presence", dropped the pseudonyms and got down to business.

The progress of Strange Occurrences has been extensively charted in print media, radio and television - see media

As a bird I fly about
Seeing things, partaking of things.
Let my heart be delighted with them."
